This sofa is upholstered in deep purple velvet, with button tufting on the back, the arms, the front and the seat. The straight arms sit level with the back, giving a boxier, more modern outline than a rolled-arm Chesterfield.
The sofa sits low on a hidden base, so the velvet runs almost to the floor. A soft brush run over the tufting every few weeks lifts dust from around the buttons.
