Furniture Trends in Belagavi for 2026
September 2025 · Updated October 2026 · 6 min read · By the team at Price Furniture, Belagavi
Furniture design changes every year, but a trend is only worth following if it suits the way we live in Belagavi: compact flats and independent houses, a long and humid monsoon, and furniture that the whole family uses every day.
Below are ten directions shaping furniture in 2026, with our view on where each one works and pieces from our showroom that follow it, each with its current price.
In this guide
- 1. Warm, deeper colours in place of grey
- 2. Curved shapes and softer edges
- 3. Sofas raised on legs
- 4. Wipe-clean leatherette for family rooms
- 5. Texture: bouclé, velvet and stitched detail
- 6. Cane and small café corners
- 7. Recliners in the everyday living room
- 8. A proper chair for the home desk
- 9. Fewer, better pieces in compact flats
- 10. Furniture made to fit the room
1. Warm, deeper colours in place of grey
After several years in which grey was the default, sofas and chairs are moving towards warmer and deeper shades: rust, tan, chocolate brown and rich greens. These colours sit comfortably beside wooden doors and older wooden furniture, and mid-tones are more forgiving of everyday marks than very pale upholstery.
- Milano Leatherette Sofa at ₹59,000, in rust-tan leatherette with cream quilted panels
- Havenstone Plush Recliner at ₹28,000, in chocolate brown plush fabric
- Emerald Velvet Loveseat at ₹38,000, a two-seater in emerald green velvet
2. Curved shapes and softer edges
Rounded arms, curved backs and softened corners are replacing hard, boxy outlines. Curves are practical as well as attractive: in a narrow flat you brush past fewer sharp corners, and a home with young children has fewer edges to worry about.
- Nordica Curved Recliner at ₹38,000, with curved light-wood panels on both arms
- Valencia Two-Tone Sofa at ₹54,900, whose tan shell curves around the arms and back
- Artisan Curved Bar Stool at ₹9,500, with the seat and back formed as a single curved shell
3. Sofas raised on legs
Visible legs make a sofa look lighter, which helps in a compact hall. They also suit the way homes here are cleaned: a floor that is mopped every day is easier to reach under a raised sofa, and during the monsoon, air moving underneath helps the upholstery stay fresh.
The Caspian L-Shape Sectional and Ottoman at ₹65,000 stands on light wooden legs, and the Milano Luxe Lounge Set at ₹1,10,000 sits on slim gold-finish legs. If you prefer the grounded look of a low base, such as the Amethyst Chesterfield Sofa at ₹65,000, plan to move it from time to time to clean underneath.
4. Wipe-clean leatherette for family rooms
Leatherette has become a practical choice for halls that see children, pets and evening snacks in front of the television. It wipes clean with a damp cloth, and through the monsoon it does not hold moisture the way fabric can. The trade-off is warmth: on April and May afternoons it can feel warm against bare skin, so keep it out of direct sun.
The Ashton Channel Tufted Sofa at ₹49,000 pairs forest green leatherette with a channel-stitched back, so a wipe-clean sofa need not look plain. Our monsoon care guide explains how to look after it.
5. Texture: bouclé, velvet and stitched detail
Plain, flat upholstery is giving way to texture. Bouclé has a looped, nubbly surface, velvet adds depth of colour, and channel stitching or quilting gives a simple shape some detail.
- Regent High-Back Armchair at ₹28,000, in grey-beige bouclé with a buttoned back
- Vienna Quilted Lounge Suite at ₹65,000, a sofa and two armchairs with diamond-quilted back cushions
Textured fabrics need a little more care in Belagavi's climate. Vacuum them with a brush attachment, keep them away from damp outer walls during the monsoon, and trim a snagged bouclé loop rather than pulling it.
6. Cane and small café corners
Cane and woven seats are back, partly because they look light and partly because they stay comfortable on warm afternoons: the open weave lets air circulate. Small café corners belong to the same direction: a balcony or kitchen corner with a compact table and two seats, in a home with no room for a full dining table.
The Artisan Woven Bistro Chair at ₹3,800 has a cane-weave seat and back, and the Metropolitan Round Bar Table at ₹5,500 adjusts in height and stands on a single column, so stools tuck in from any side. If your balcony is open to the rain, bring cane indoors for the monsoon, as it softens and can sag when it stays damp.
7. Recliners in the everyday living room
Recliners are no longer only for a separate TV room. A single recliner beside the main sofa gives one person a place to stretch out, and a recliner set suits a family that watches television together every evening.
- Grandview Recliner Set at ₹70,000, a three-seater and two reclining armchairs in brown fabric
- Crimson Premiere Theatre Seat at ₹22,000, a cinema-style seat with cup holders for a dedicated home theatre
Before choosing one, measure the room with the recliner fully reclined. Our guide on choosing a recliner explains what to check.
8. A proper chair for the home desk
Working and studying from home have made the desk a permanent part of many flats. A dining chair is fine for an hour but not for a working day, so it is worth budgeting for an office chair alongside the sofa and the bed.
The Apex Ergonomic Office Chair at ₹11,900 has a breathable mesh back, a lumbar pad and a headrest. For a home study where a corporate look feels out of place, the Sterling Executive Chair at ₹13,900 has a softer shape in cocoa brown leatherette. Our office chair guide covers the details.
9. Fewer, better pieces in compact flats
In a 1BHK or 2BHK flat, a large five-seat set can fill the hall. A two-seater with one good armchair often seats a small family more comfortably and leaves room to move.
- Valencia Two-Tone Armchair at ₹24,900, wide and low, and upholstered on every side
- Kensington Wingback Chair at ₹28,000, whose floral print hides everyday marks better than a plain, light fabric
- Petal Pink Armchair at ₹18,900, for a bedroom corner
10. Furniture made to fit the room
Standard sizes do not suit every home. A wall between two doors, a corner with a window or a narrow sit-out in an independent house may need a piece built to its own measurements. For such rooms, see our page on furniture made to your size.
Key takeaways
- Warm colours, curves, texture and cane lead furniture design in 2026
- Sofas on legs are easier to clean under and let air circulate in the monsoon
- Leatherette wipes clean, while fabric, velvet and bouclé need regular vacuuming and distance from damp walls
- A compact flat is often better served by a two-seater and an armchair than by a large set
- Measure recliners in the reclined position, and consider made-to-size pieces for awkward walls
